The former Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon Seriake Dickson, has picked the nomination form to join the race for Bayelsa West Senatorial District bye election.
The immediate past governor announced he opted to join the contest for the vacant Senatorial seat pursuing subduing endorsements and calls on him by significant stakeholders to fill the vacant Senatorial seat.
In a statement by his Media Adviser, Mr Fidelis Soriwei, on Friday, said that formal declaration would be made when the former governor visits Bayelsa.
The statement added that there is the widespread opinion in the Ijaw nation that the governor Dickson was the most suitable voice for the Senatorial District for the Ijaw nation in the Senate.
