...... Describes Comrade AC Ude as a Strategic Thinker.
Some Leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC from Enugu North Senatorial District have distanced themselves from the plot by some of their members who they described as "core beneficiaries of the zoning system of the Party in the State" trying to truncate the peace that exists in the Party now by disregarding the decision of the highest body of the Party in the State.
Recall that the State Caretaker Executive Committee of APC Enugu State had in April, ratified the zoning system of the Party and zoned the State Chairmanship to Enugu West Senatorial Zone.
This decision according to reports did not go down well with some of the leaders of the Party in Enugu North Senatorial Zone as they want the position to be thrown open for everybody to contest.
Speaking while addressing the Party Faithfuls on Wednesday in Udenu, during the visit of the Campaign train of the Comrade AC Ude, Prof Romanus Eze, who was said, "We cannot work against the decisions of the State Caretaker Executive Committee, who are the highest body of the Party in the State."
"Those working secretly to cause another crisis of the Party are the same people who became what they are as a result of their previous positions in the Party which were made manifest, because of the zoning system.
Another Leader of the Party and a former Director/ National Secretary, Census Commission, Chief Tony Ndu in his own averment, said, he and the Party people in Udenu are strongly behind candidates from Enugu West Senatorial Zone, especially that of Comrade AC Ude, the Jagaban, because, he is a known Party man and grassroot Mobiliser, who is highly gifted in strategic thinking and execution.
According to him "What Enugu APC needs now is some body like THE JAGABAN, who is a grassroot person and strategic thinker, that has been in the Party from time immemorial with zero tolerance for electoral failures".
"The State Caretaker Committee of the Party led by Barr Dr Ben Nwoye has done a lot in bringing back enviable harmony to the Party and have equally shown their astute commitment in getting a long lasting peace in the Party by maintaining the already existing zoning system in the Party. '
"I think Dr Ben Nwoye and his leadership are should be given massive support to deliver the Party and hand over to a capable hand that can give us electoral Victory and not someone that delivers his polling units to the other political Parties."
When questioned, a member of the State's caretaker committee from Nsukka local Government by name Ikechukwu Ogbunyemi, explained that, any candidate from Enugu North Senatorial zone vying for the State Chairmanship just to cause another havoc in the Party, is a mole sent by the PDP and not a Party person.
He Stated that, what APC needs now is somebody like Comrade AC Ude, who can Mobilise and lift the Party and not people with incurable disdain to cause fracas.
"We can not give bickering another chance in the Party as a result of narcissistic interest of some few persons, who thinks that they own the Party even though, they have no electoral Value in their wards and polling units.
" People who made serious efforts to destabilize the Party during the last registration exercise, but were shocked by our unity now wants to ferment another trouble by trying to go against the zoning system in the Party".
"They are Moles of the PDP, and thus, should be cautioned."
Also Speaking, the Ceo Of Express Oil and Gas,Chief Okwori announced his support for the zoning system as well as his love for the Jagaban.
