The State Students Political Support Group Championing sensitization and voter education for Enugu State PDP Governorship candidate Barr. Peter Mbah and his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai was received by the Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Council, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh and his deputy, Hon. Martins Agbo on behalf of the council on a solidarity visit.
Presenting the group's structure, aim and objectives, the Director General of Peter Mbah Students Movement, Comrade Charles Nnaemeka Edeh, made it clear that the students are out for a new Enugu State with the full believe that in Peter Mbah our tomorrow is here. He went ahead to tell the mayor on the arrangements on ground as to how the students movement intend rallying support and vote to the PDP candidates Enugu State come 2023, hence this solidarity visit to officially declare students support which will be expressed in their sensitization tours, campaign rallies, social media publications, one-on-one grassroots engagement to educate and inform them on the need to vote in Barr. Peter Mbah and all the PDP candidates in the state.
Addressing the leadership of Peter Mbah Students Movement PMSM the chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Council, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh commended the students group on behalf of the council, appreciating their commitment towards supporting PDP. "On behalf of Nkanu East Local Government Council, I, my deputy and other executives of the council present to receive you today, wish to sincerely thank you all for making such a nice move at the right time, I must commend you for such wonderful ideas and strategies unveiled today before me and my team, your goals to deliver Hon. Barr Peter Mbah for governor Enugu State come 2023 and the support working documents before us are awesome and perfect perfect".
Hon. Edeh expressed his belief on students as a very important tool and part of the society, because the future of every society lies in the youths whom after there time in school will now take on the various sectors of government and leadership positions to give back to their society. He went further to give his total support to the students movement. "Consider this movement as my project henceforth", "Whatever it takes, by the grace of God, Nkanu East LGA which hosts the incoming governor of Enugu State will ensure that this group is provided with every necessary support to actualize our collective targeted goals" he reassured.
