Submit Guidelines For Reopening, FG Tells Churches, Mosques | CABLE REPORTERS
The Federal Government under President M. Buhari on Thursday during the press conference of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has asked professional organizations, faith-based groups including churches and mosques, to submit guidelines for reopening to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control for a review and advise.
“This is what we’ve been advising every society, organization, community, be it faith-based, cultural-based, professionally based, to come up with guidelines for themselves. We are happy to advise and engage, but this needs to be led and owned by the leaders of those organizations.”
The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu said.
The NCDC DG also charges all stakeholders in society to take responsibility for the part or organization they owned and managed.
