The premier league has confirmed that players will wear #Blacklivesmatter jerseys as the premier league returns next week.
The players will have their names replaced by "Black lives matter" on their jerseys for the first twelve games of the premier league as it returns.
The players released a statement which read: "We, the Players, stand together with the singular objective of eradicating racial prejudice wherever it exists, to bring about a global society of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities for all, regardless of their colour or creed.
The premier has also said it will support players who take a knee before or during matches.
The premier league returns next week with the first game on Wednesday,, June 17th With Manchester city playing hosts to Arsenal.
