Enugu Council Administrator Rolls Out Palliatives, Commends Gov. Ugwuanyi | CABLE REPORTERS



Overwhelming joy and happiness were brought to the people of Maryland community today as Chief Chinedu Onukwue (Wa 1 of Wawaland) the Administrator of Enugu South-East Development Area Council rolled out his COVID-19 triple palliatives to cushion the effect of the pandemic on the people. 

CABLE REPORTERS reports that the palliatives range from Medical aids, Foods, and financial gifts. 
The food which comprises Bags of Rice, Cartons of Noodles, Gallons of Groundnut Oil, Tin of Tomatoes, Bags of Onions, Seasonings, and many other food items. While over 40 medical and health workers were mobilized to the program in addition to the relevant materials such as test kits, drugs/vitamins supplements, Hand Sanitizers, Liquid Hand Washing Soups, insecticide-treated nets, etc.

In the same vein, some selected persons benefited immensely through the Financial assistance to ameliorate the suffering occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.


Chief Onukwue in his address informed the people that he decided to share the little he has with them at this critical time out of the overflow of his love to always support his people,  promising to do more.

Delivering his lecture titled "Corona Virus and Security" Supol Friday Eze, advised Keke riders to adhere strictly to the 7 pm government order, he equally appealed for strict compliance of the 10 pm curfew, a lecture on hypertension, it's causes,  symptoms, and prevention was delivered by, Amarachi Iloelunachi Chikamso while a keen awareness on the recent fact on COVID-19 was delivered; Ahuchaogu King-David 



A thorough lecture on how locally sourced foods can help reduce hypertensive cases was also delivered by; Ottah C Samuel

CABLE REPORTERS learnt  that the free medical outreach witnessed hundreds of drugs been dispensed to the people as aged mothers out of satisfaction led a special prayer for His Excellency Rt Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his son Chief Onukwue.

In his closing remarks, Chief Onukwue told them that he will be repeating a similar thing in all the four wards he represents this week.
 He thanked His Excellency Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all his developmental strides at Maryland especially in the areas of roads and political appointments.
Chief Onukwue was also thankful to the Gov for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government an Administrator.
