The Greater Awgu Youth General Assembly has expressed their heartfelt sympathy and thoughts to the people and government of Awgu local government over a fatal accident that took many lives at Nkwo junction, Awgu local government yesterday.
In a statement jointly signed by the President, Comr. Okolie Valentine Ebuka and Secretary Comr. Egbogu Augustine, they expressed their sympathy, thought, and prayers to the bereaved families."Our hearts and sympathy goes out to the good people of Awgu LGA and indeed the government of Awgu LGA over the accident of school pupils around Nkwo Junction, along Mmaku road where a trailer ran into a school bus of Presentation Nursery and Primary School Awgu carrying school pupils where a few lost their lives and others sustained different degrees of injuries"
"We are sad over this incidence even as we share in the grief and pain of the families. Our thoughts, prayers, and support are with families even in these trying times" the statement read
Cable Reporters have earlier revealed that tragedy struck in Awgu town of Awgu local government area of Enugu State, as a truck belonging to a Company, yet to be identified, crashed into a long school bus carrying both Nursery and primary school pupils, as well as Staff of the School, killing Many leaving few in critical condition.
The Fatal accident with affected the school bus belonging to presentation Nursery and Primary school, Awgu, was said to have occurred at Nkwo Awgu junction in Awgu local government area of Enugu state.
