In a statement, signed by the National President of Nkanu Youth Assembly, (the apex youth wing in Enugu East senatorial zone), Hon. Edeani M. Edeani and their National Secretary Comr. Columbus Iloka as obtained by CABLE REPORTERS lauds Governor Ugwuanyi for his developmental strides, youth inclusiveness in leadership, fatherly care amongst others, they highlighted some of Governor Ugwuanyis achievements, extolled his ingenious way of sustaining peace in the state, while wishing him the best of the new age.

Your excellency, our dear governor, it is with joy and thanksgiving that all Nkanu Youths through the National Executives, local government coordinators, State chapter executives and, Ward coordinators of Nkanu youth Assembly warmly felicitate with you, our visionary leader, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburu Gburu), the executive Governor of Enugu State on the occasion of your 57th birthday.
Your excellency, as we join millions of admirers to mark this great occasion, we the entire Nkanu Youths wish to appreciate you for your indelible service to humanity as your emergence as the Executive Governor of Enugu State on 29th May 2015 signaled significant daybreak in the peace, security, infrastructure and youth development in Enugu State.
Your Excellency, you are an unsung hero of infrastructure in Enugu State as you have continued with your aggressive execution of legacy projects, projects with direct impact on the people. Some of these projects include the recent completion of Nike lake junction, Harmony Estate road, Amorji Nike, Adoration pilgrimage center, phase II and phase III in Enugu East LGA, which links Abakpa and Emene and serves as a critical bypass that decongested traffic gridlock in Abakpa T-junction, the asphalting of a 22.443km community link road, the Neke-Mbu-Ogbodu Aba Obollo Etiti road that connected Isi-uzo and neighboring Udenu LGA, under Rural Access and Mobility Project II (RAMP II), the construction of Amechi and Amurri road, the Airport Roundabout/Orie-Emene/St. Patrick’s College/Eke-Obinagu Rehabilitated in Enugu East LGA
Rehabilitation of the old UNTH-Bunker road, Enugu; constructed the Holy Trinity Street -Bishop Michael Eneje Street, Independence Layout; Mount Crescent, GRA; Orofia Street, off Nza Street, Independence Layout; Dental School-Tipper Garage road Trans Ekulu, Enugu; Ugwuaji-Loma Linda-Timber Shed road, Maryland, Enugu; Nwafia Street, Independence Layout; Mbanefo Street, New Haven; The Secretariat Road, G.R.A; Court Avenue by new State Secretariat; Ibuza Street at Independence Layout; Isi Uzo Street at Independence Layout; Owerri Road; Poly Clinic Road, Asata; Carter Street, off Ogui Road, etc.
To enhance quality education, you have set the pace by the recruitment of over 5000 primary and secondary school teachers
Construction, renovation, and equipped 897 classroom blocks and other school projects under Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board,
Procurement and distribution of 22,150 lockers and 22,150 chairs for primary school children, 1,228 tables, 1,228 armchairs, and 2,456 armless chairs for the teachers, as well as 1130 marker boards for teaching and 1,960 ceiling fans, for the conducive learning environment
Procurement and distribution of 12, 480 writing desks and chairs for primary school pupils in the state and 868 tables and chairs for teachers to improve the standard of learning.

Your Excellency, you have proved to the world that African leaders can be exceptionally competent, affable, honest, incorruptible, humane, and selfless.

CABLE REPORTERS had reported that Nkanu Youths under the leadership of Hon. Edeani M. Edeani on 29th of November 2020 at their epoch-making Nkanu cultural fiesta held at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium bestowed an award of excellence to Governor Ugwuanyi, as the Icon of Peace and Youth Development, an honor which has been celebrated by all Nkanu youths.
