The mainstream leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Enugu State on Monday celebrated their Christmas and end of the year party with some of their Leaders in a grand style.
The event which took place at Tickles event Centre in Ogui New Layout Enugu was organised for the 17 APC local government chairmen and was hosted by Chief Ocho Obodoeze and Barr Eugene Eneh, the duo stated that it is a way of thanking the party stalwarts for their steadfastness and commitment to the party's activities.
In his opening remarks, The Chairman-elect of the Party, Comrade AC Ude extolled the Leaders of the Party such as Emperor Baywood Ibeh, Chief Osita Okechukwu, Barr Sullivan Chime, Dr Ben Nwoye, Barr Juliet Ibekaku, Group capt Orji, Chief Ocho obodoeze, Barr Eugene Eneh amongst others, for their stewardship and support towards the growth of the Party at all times.
He Stated that the Party despite some challenges achieved a lot in 2021 especially in the area of membership mobilisation and leadership repositioning.
Comrade Ude also posited that APC Enugu State in the year 2021, ensured that her grassroots support maximised owing to the peace it enjoyed before the fracas that came as a result of the congresses which he also described as what makes Political parties stronger and More United when handled properly.
According to him, "I am very happy to be in your midst to celebrate this event as an elected Chairman of the Party."

In his remarks, The convener of the end of the year ceremony and also the National Coordinator of South-East Mandate, Chief Ocho Obodoeze, thanked God for making APC the Party that will liberate the Igbo's from the shackles of political marginalisation.
He posited that APC in Enugu under the leadership of Comrade AC Ude has all it takes to take mantle of the State leadership from the People's Democratic Party, PDP as they have failed Enugu state for the past 22 years of our current Democratic dispensation.
Chief Obodoeze called on the elected State Party Executives to start constructive engagement of the People and expose the decays in the state, as well as the harms being orchestrated by the PDP, led Enugu State Government as it is one of the surest ways of sensitizing the state citizens on the dangers posed by supporting another PDP Government in the state come 2023.

"Once we do this, Our 2023 electoral Victory would be easier and Enugu People needs to know that PDP has killed the state and needs to be changed before it gets worse"
Speaking on behalf of the Local Government chairmen of the Party, The Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area and also the Coordinating Chairman of chairmen, Hon Joseph Ugwuoke expressed the joy of the grassroots members towards their Leaders; for always standing with them all the time.
He Stated that it is because of their supports and commitment that they still exist in the Party which has given hope to the grassroots members.
Hon Ugwoke assured that the Local Government chairmen will always support their Leaders to move the Party to a greater height.
