Nkerefi women have thrown their weights in support of their men, government and other stakeholders in the fight against drug abuse in Enugu communities.
The group which is known as Dignified Nkerefi Women led by Mrs Ngozi Ogbuekwe, Mrs Nkem Ani, Mrs Ada Mbah, Mrs Patience Ani and Lolo Vera Onyekwere sensitized the girl child and women about the effects of drug addiction on Monday the 27th December 2021 at Community Primary School Nkerefi.
They also delivered health and sanitary advisories for women while sharing sanitary pads, drug abuse fact sheets and other women essentials.
Mrs Osinachi Nwankwo, the Officer In Charge of Nkerefi Health Center lectured the women on reproductive health and good hygiene.

A resource person, Mr David Folaranmi, who works with the Drug-Free World Non-Governmental Organisation was also on the ground to give a detailed exposition on the menace of drug abuse.
