The Leadership crisis rocking the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has adopted another approach as the ever revelling APC elders Forum has come out again to reveal some astonishing facts about one of those laying claims to the leadership of the Party in Enugu state.
Recall that the Leaders of the Party in Enugu state have jointly issued a series of press releases rejecting the imposition of Barr Ugochukwu Agballa as the state Chairman of the Party, While some aggrieved members have taken the matter to the court of law; claiming that, The former was not a member of the Party as at when the Party's ward Congresses were delegates that would contest for the state Chairmanship position emerge.
In a statement made by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC Leaders Forum, Dr Charles Ogbu in Ghana and sent to Newsmen, he stated that ambition is what would likely finish Barr. Ugochukwu Agballa and send him to prison.
He posited that he has been using every possible strategy to lay claim to being a member of the Party before the Congresses, which has been grossly failing him; even to an extent of committing perjury.
"Barr Ugochukwu Agballa is gradually trying to get himself incarcerated because of his dubious quest to be the Enugu state chairman of Apc"
"Having seen Series of court cases against his emergence, the emergence as a factional state chairman-elect of the Party from those in his faction and those against him, he has resorted to submitting different forged Party membership cards"
"We wonder how someone that wants to Lead a National Party renowned for her zero tolerance of corruption could get himself involved in forgery Just to claim a position that he is legally not fit to occupy"
The Group however assert that Barr Ugochukwu Agballa will soon get himself imprisoned as more court cases against him are piling up.
"It is clear that he is heading to prison"
"APC is not PDP where anything goes"
"Barr Ugochukwu Agballa aside from submitting different Party membership card is also involved in forgery as there is no record of his name in the ward or polling unit register"
"We are watching and will soon join forces to liberate the Party"
"This would set a future precedence that APC is not a home for insubordination and abuse of Democratic principles" The Statement concluded.
