The leading governorship candidate in Enugu State and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on Saturday laid to rest, series of unfounded allegations and campaign of calumny orchestrated against him by the dwindling oppositions who “do not believe in fair play but assumes that the mandate of the people can be thwarted through character assassination, campaign of deceit and falsehoods”.

Dr. Peter Mbah gave the detailed explanation on the alleged EFCC case and Plea bargain during a live radio interview at Solid100.9 FM Enugu. He clarified that he has never been in any legal trial with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as the EFCC struck his name out even before the case started as the issue at stake was never about him in any way.

“To cut the long story short, I have never been tried nor convicted by the EFCC, I was never engaged in any Plea bargain of whatsoever kind, even before the trial commenced in the matter in question, my name and two other people where struck out by the commission. So I never attended any trial for whatever charge. I was never the target of whatever allegation or suspicion” Dr. Peter Mbah
