The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah, has promised victims of alleged land grabbing in the state that his administration would revisit all cases of land racketeering by individuals, companies and government and ensure justice is served.
The leading governorship candidate who recently gave this assurance in Enugu, assured that he would not leave any stone unturned in making sure that people whose lands and properties were forcibly taken would have cause to smile at the end of the day.
Mbah who was responding to questions about the inciting statement made by Mr. Okey Ezea, Labour Party senator-elect in Nsukka Zone, called for calm among his supporters, even as he said his ambition does not worth the blood of any person.
“We are assuring our people that our administration, when we win by God’s grace and with your support, we will revisit all the cases of land grabbing and ensure justice is served. We’ll return your land to you where we notice injustice.
“Our philosophy is peace. Politics should not be do-or-die affair. It should be politics without bitterness in Enugu State. Power belongs to the people, and I want to enjoin you to vote for someone with credibility, competence, capacity and entrepreneurial track records. It’s time to say no to career politicians,” he added.
