Nkanu Youth Engage Sen. Kelvin Chukwu on Youth Empowerment and Development | CABLE REPORTERS


In a recent courtesy visit, the top leadership of NKANU Youth, representing the six local government areas in Enugu East senatorial zone—Enugu-East, Enugu-South, Nkanu-East, Isi-uzo, Nkanu-West, Enugu-North—converged to meet with Senator Kelvin Chukwu. The meeting, held in the senator's hometown in Amurri, focused on discussing the senator's plans and programs for youth development in NKANU land.


During the interaction, the NKANU Youth leadership led by David Nwachukwu inquired about Senator Chukwu's strategies for human capital development, particularly aimed at the youth of NKANU. They emphasized the importance of creating employment opportunities for the youth, especially those without political affiliations.


The Youth leadership clarified their non-partisan stance, expressing a strong commitment to initiatives that genuinely benefit the NKANU zone. Their primary goal is to empower the youth across various aspects of life, ensuring progress for the entire zone, as they firmly believe that investing in the youth is crucial for the region's future success.


On his part, Senator Chukwu promised to partner with NKANU youth, highlighting his alignment with the youth demographic. He affirmed that his government would actively accommodate more youth and shared insights into some of his interventions. Senator Chukwu disclosed securing slots for jobs and highlighted bills he has already moved, showcasing a proactive approach to address youth concerns.


In a collaborative spirit, the youth leaders and Senator Kelvin Chukwu pledged to work together to implement initiatives that promote development, unity, and increased opportunities for the youth in NKANU land. They expressed gratitude for the senator's open-door policy and warm reception, signaling a positive step towards fostering constructive partnerships for the betterment of NKANU.
