Gov. Zulum's Immeasurable Support has Made Us To Improve - Buratai | CABLE REPORTERS
The Chief of Army Staff General Tukur Buratai has thanked the support of Borno state Governor, Prof Umara Babagana Zulum for his immeasurable support.
He stated this on a Sallah visit at the government in MMaiduguri.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank Your Excellency, most sincerely, for all your support to the Nigerian Army and other services, the Nigerian Airforce, as well the theatre of operation Lafiya Dole. Your support is quite immeasurable. We appreciate it and this has really made us improve on our operations” Buratai said.
In his response, Governor Zulum reassured the Nigeria Military of his commitment to helping in the fight against insurgency, stressing his trust in the Military despite some "misunderstandings".
“This administration under my leadership will remain faithful to the Nigerian military, we shall be faithful to you. There has never been a time as a Governor of Borno State i myself decided not to be faithful to the military. To the best of my knowledge, i always say right about the military. Even when i had an outburst, i made it with good intentions
Within the last two months, we have been witnessing a gradual return of peace, we are optimistic that the Nigerian military can contain the situation. The government of Borno State will do everything possible to support the Nigerian military."
