SIX COVID-19 CASES DISCHARGED IN JOS, PLATEAU STATE


The Government of Plateau State has discharged six more coronavirus cases from the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) Jos.

Dr Nimkong Lar, The State Commissioner for Health, announced this during the update on action of COVID-19 in  briefing on Friday at Government House in Jos.

He stated that the patients had tested negative after they had clinically improved. Their laboratory samples were taken for tests which turned out negative 

“The six discharged cases bring it to 10  number of COVID-19 patients discharged so far in the state.

“The states index case was discharged on May 7, the other three on May 13, and the latest six were discharged today, ”.

He explained that 11 confirmed cases are still receiving treatment at JUTH, asserting that they are in stable condition and fastly responding to treatment.
