| Sen. Ike Ekweremadu |
A group known as Enugu West General Assembly has alleged that the former Deputy President of the Senate and current Senator, representing Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu is the real enemy of Ndi Igbo who prefers his pocket to the well being of Igbos.
According to a statement made by the Leader of the Group Hon. Humphrey Onyima, they insisted that the former Deputy Senate president who is equally a professor is a professor of failure:
"Ekweremadu is a Professor of Failure. 12 years as Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, he failed to make legislation to fix Enugu - Onitsha road, he failed to make legislation to fix Enugu Portharcourt expressway, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, 2nd Niger Bridge, etc"
"Today an Hausa-Fulani man is fixing them all, one after another, just five years in power. Our question is, between Ekweremadu and Buhari who actually hates the Igbos?"
"Ekweremadu is the real enemy of Ndi Igbo. He prefers his pocket than the wellbeing of Ndi Igbo".
"It takes the intervention of the likes of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, who brokered a meeting of South East Governors with President Muhammadu Buhari that led to the release of 10 billion naira for the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, which is almost at the point of completion".
