Tension In Enugu As Lawmaker Is Suspected To Have Died Of CoronaVirus | CABLE REPORTERS

Enugu residents are in a state of distress, apprehension, and tension as the member representing Isiuzo local government area in Enugu state house of assembly Hon. Chijioke Ugwueze (Aguiyi) has been alleged to have died of Corona Virus.

The speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi today also ordered the immediate closure and decontamination of the Assembly premises "in order to err to the side of caution", a statement that heightened the fears of the residents.

"in order not to err on the side of caution while the remote and immediate cause of his death is being ascertained, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi has ordered the immediate closure of the Assembly complex for decontamination, as well as the suspension of all activities in the complex till further notice". The official statement signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Information and communication, Hon. Jeff Mbah stated.

Recall that CABLE REPORTERS yesterday reported the sad incident which occurred 3 days after the sudden demise of Hon. Pat Omeje, the Council Chairman of Nsukka local government area of the state on Tuesday.

Currently, Enugu State has confirmed a total of 126 cases, 93 active cases, 28 recoveries with 5 casualties.
