As the world today marks the commemoration of international youth day, a day set aside since the year 2000 following a recommendation by the World Conference of Ministers for Youth in Portugal, to the United Nations General Assembly, to commemorate the youths the world over in recognition of the vital roles the youth plays in sustaining a viable, peaceful, just, stable and equitable global system.
The National President of Nkanu Youths, Hon. Edeani M. Edeani has once more celebrated the ingenuity of Nkanu youths describing them as the future of Nigeria and the world.
The Aide to Governor on Programs, Contact and Mobilisation made the statement while discussing with newsmen today in Enugu.
He expressed his gladness with the excellent traits of Nkanu youths which stands them out from others.
" Nkanu youths are the future of Nigeria, we are so committed to the worthy course; we are innovative and determined to succeed, we are teachable, humble and smart - these and many more describe the communal spirit and desire to cause change for the overall benefit of the populace which had continued to overlook the traits of an average Nkanu youth, it is these very traits that distinguish us from the crowd, it these very traits that gives me the very zeal to do more as we the Nkanu youths are the future of Nigeria and the World "
He charged Nkanu youths to remain peaceful, imbibe the character of Gov. Ugwuanyi and the "Onye Aghana Nwanne ya" Spirit of Nkanu for the even development of Nkanu nation and Nigeria.
"As we commemorate this year's occasion, I charge all Nkanu youths to continue to imbibe the character and person of our Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and the Onye Aghana Nwanneya Spirit of Ndi Nkanu. Let's continue to support ourselves as we get ready for the better future ahead. God bless Nkanu Youths, God bless Enugu State" he added
