Ugochukwu Nwanagu buries Dad amidst emotional tributes | CABLE REPORTERS


The Father of UK based enchanting personality, Charles Ugochukwu Nwanagu (CUN) of Enugu State, Late Pa Joseph Nnejioko Nwanagu (Piccolo), was on Thursday, interred in Ajameagu Akpawfu, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State amidst tons of  emotional tributes from him, family, and the publics.

CUN in his tribute described his late Dad as not just a biological father but a mentor who cared for his family, general public and a strong believer of Equity and fairness.


“Late Chief Joseph  Nnejioko Nwanagu is not just my biological father,  he was also my mentor. He was a caring father, a father who loved his children and his late wife as well. He was a very hardworking man, upright and resilient. He was  a  man who believed in justice, equity and fairness.”


He maintained that the Death of Chief Nwannagu “my father, has left a very big vacuum in our hearts as a family which no one can fill, but we will take solace in the legacies he left  behind.”


In his sermon at the occasion titled Live to Live, the Lead Pastor, Assemblies of God Church Akpawfu, Pastor Chijioke Chijioke, urged the people to always remember that they could only live within the atmosphere of their actions.


Chijioke called on them to see their attendance at the funeral service as another opportunity for them to reflect on their lives and their relationship with God.

He extolled the virtues of the late Chief Nwanagu, describing him as a devout Christian and an upright man while on earth.


Speaking to the CABLE REPORTERS, the first son of Late Chief Joe Nwannagu, Mr Oscar Osy Nwanagu described his father as “a gallant soldier and a hardworking man who believed in Transformation of people, a pioneer, who helped so many people during his time: 


On her part, Mrs Amuche Ann Ngene (NEE Nwanagu) extolled her late father, describing him as a hero and a man of peace and impact, she declared that her father remains a role model to her, her siblings and everyone who has come in contact with him while praying for those that came to be with them: 

The former chairman of Nkanu East local government area, Hon. Sunday Nwaigwe who spoke in Igbo language on behalf of other dignitaries in attendance celebrated the late Chief Nwanagu for a life well lived as the oldest in their Kindred, he outlined some of his qualities such as honesty, philanthropy, meekness and humility, praying for God to accept his gentle soul.

He equally charged his children to bear the loss and emulate the footprints of their late father:

The funeral was well attended by government officials, captains of Industries, traditional and religious leaders.


Also in attendance were Akpawfu Oyiwode Progressive Union Abuja and Lagos Branch and many other socio-cultural, political cum religious groups
