Youths Passes Vote of Confidence on Gov. Ugwuanyi, Endorses him for Senate, Throws weight behind rotation of Governorship | CABLE REPORTERS

Youths from Enugu North Senatorial zone has expressed satisfaction with the leadership of Enugu state governor, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The Youths under the auspice of the Nsukka Youth General Assembly unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the governor during the Nsukka Youths Town Hall meeting held on Saturday 26th March 2022. The youths also endorsed the governor as the choice of Nsukka youths in the forthcoming senatorial election as they throw full weight behind the established gubernatorial zoning pact in the Enugu State.

“Nsukka youths today Endorse the Rotation of governorship position among the three senatorial zones in the state to continue fostering Peace, Unity and Fairness having in mind that there is no zone that doesn't have stock of credible and competent people to become governor. Nsukka Youths also throws our 100% support and backing for H.E Gov Ugwuanyi to provide direction on who would succeed him in 2023 and we will deliver the person with every arsenal at our disposal.”

“Nsukka Youths Appreciates  H.E Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi For unprecedented Youths inclusion in governance in Enugu state especially Nsukka Youths and for his  infrastructural strides  in Nsukka citing Opi-Nsukka Road, Esut Teaching Hospital Igbo-ano, State Secretariat annex Nsukka, Nsukka Township standium, connecting road networks in Nsukka, rural access roads in Nsukka, Colliery Hospitals in Nsukka, Fed Poly Ohodo, construction and reconstruction of hundreds of primary and secondary classroom blocks in Nsukka etc”

“In appreciation of what he  has done for Nsukka Youths and Nsukka people, Nsukka Youths endorse H.E Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi to represent Enugu North senatorial zone in red chambers come 2023 as we feel safe and comfortable of  him to continue to be our political father and leader. Nsukka Youths also pledge to purchase nomination and expression of interest form for him as a thank you gift and our desire to force him to take up this responsibility to continue mentoring and raising our youths.”

In a Communique obtained by CABLE REPORTERS the youths led by Comr. Roy Ekwueme also warned against political unrest in the state, especially their zone, emphasising that nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any youths.

“Nobody's Political Ambition is worth the blood of any Nsukka youth and Nsukka Youths will combat tit for tat anyone within or outside Nsukka who will attempt to cause political Unrest in Nsukka Because of their Selfish interests.”

“We agreed that no Nsukka Youth should allow him/herself to be used as thugs or agents of destruction by politicians within and outside Nsukka as build up to 2023 general elections intensifies. Election is a friendly contest Not War. To be foretold is to be forewarned”

“Nsukka Youths also appreciate our other  political leaders starting from our Senator Chukwuka Utazi, Federal house representatives, state house of Assembly, local government Chairmen and councillors, we recognise the herculean task of leadership and heavy responsibility that comes with it.”

“Nsukka Youths condemns the irresponsibility of some of our leaders and bemoans their disregard to our Youths for years only to start flashing themselves in our faces during Election time.”

“This time around youths will be for Youths that have been for Youths”

 “Nsukka Youths demands that at least 50% of our national assembly members should be youths and for peace, Equity and fairness Nsukka Youths to propose that  micro-zoning of positions should be adopted in the zone,  the federal constituencies and state constituencies to balance power equation for peace and unity in our zone. We urge every political party to put this into serious considerations before selecting their candidates for 2023 Elections “

“>>> For Nsukka/Igbo-eze South fed constituency, in justice and fairness we endorse Nsukka local government to produce next representative and we urge  all political parties to select a credible candidate from there and most preferably a Youth to fly their flag.”

“>>> For Justice and fairness we also endorse Uzo-uwani to produce representative for Uzo-uwani/Igbo-etiti federal constituency. All Political parties should fall in line.”

“>>>. For Udenu/Igbo-eze north fed constituency, since we have endorse Gov Ugwuanyi for Senate, justice and fairness only demands that Igbo-eze north should continue in house of representatives.”

“Nsukka Youths also demand for massive youths involvement in 2023 and we appeal that at least 60% of state assembly members from our zones should be Youths, not youths at heart but youths in age. All Political parties planing on fielding candidates should take note.”

“Nsukka Youths urge all political parties especially the ruling PDP to prioritize youths in their selection of candidates for 2023 elections because we have credible and competent youths everywhere and 2023 will see massive participation of youths in the election like never before.”

“We urge every Youth that has interest to run for one office or another to go and purchase nomination and expression of interest form of their parties and anyone that is really interested and ready to do the work but lacks resources to get their party form should as a matter of urgency write to Nsukka Youths General Assembly for us to champion crowd funding for you. As a youth you are not alone and we must stick together to fight for our collective future.”
