#Sad: Over 300 people killed in Sokoto Communities In Less Than 3 Months |CABLE REPORTERS

The Nigerian senate on wednesday asked the Nigerian president, President M. Buhari to extend fierce military presence in Borno, Yobe and Katsina to Sokoto, Niger,  Zamfara, and Kaduna States.

The senate made this call after President Muhammadu Buhari last week ordered that the military be deployed to Katsina state for the same issues.

Chairman Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Senator Ibrahim Gobir of the APC, Sokoto East raised the alarm of rising insecurity in the area stressing that over 300 people had been killed or kidnap in his senatorial zone perpetuated by the alleged bandits in less than 3 months.

He also told his colleagues in the red chamber that his constituents now run to barracks for protection, alleging that the soldiers often fail to answer their distress call when the bandits come terrorizing them, calling for urgent military presence.
