Often times, its good to walk down the memory lane because one does not know the level of a man's positive impact in the life of people unless it is taken into account all that the person has done to help the people that have come in contact with him
In the same light, one cannot go through the history of politicians who has impacted and touched the lives of people without mentioning Senator (Dr) Ike Ekweremmadu.
Senator Ike Ekweremmadu is a man known to be loyal, peaceful, kind, dedicated and compassionate.
His contributions to the people of Enugu state including his home town are innumerable.
Once upon a time, some local government areas like Aninri and Awgu had serious infrastructure challenges, their roads were bad and this affected the development of those local government areas as farmers found it difficult transporting their farm produce to other communities for sales, likewise people who try to bring it their goods for sales because of the bad road. However Senator Ekweremmadu took it upon himself to attract numerous road projects for these local government areas and that opened up the place and made transportation easier for the people
Senator Ekweremmadu has also made it possible for water to be provided to UDI and Ezeagu local government areas by bringing water projects to them from the ministry of water and other relevant agencies of the government by making it possible for this people to enjoy good source of water supply, he has saved a lot of people including children from getting infected with water borne diseases
Senator Ekweremmadu has also shown his interest in education knowing how important education is by ensuring that classrooms, ICT centers and libraries are built in different schools. He further still showed his support for education by the offering scholarships and bursary scheme help indigent students in higher institutions. Aside the students, he has also empowered women with literacy challenge.
Senator Ekweremmadu has helped so many communities by supplying drugs to the community health centers and making it possible for power to be restored by providing transformers to these communities.
Through the Ikeoha Foundation, he has reached out to so many people. In doing all of these for different communities and local government, he did not fail to help his own people because he is a son who did not forget his home when he found himself eating with kings instead he brought the food of kings to his people and made their lives better.
To Senator Ekweremmadu, I want to remind you sir, that you have left an indelible mark in time and we will never forget because every of your good work speaks for you.
