#2023: Nkanu Youths Congratulates Mbah, Nnaji, Nweke, Laud Ugwuanyi for Keeping to his Promise | CABLE REPORTERS

Youths from Enugu East Senatorial zone have congratulated the former Enugu State commissioner for Finance and the CEO of Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited; Dr Peter Mbah on his success at the gubernatorial primary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State

A statement signed by the National President of Nkanu Youths, Hon. Edeani M. Edeani and their National Secretary, Comr. Columbus Iloka, and made available to the newsmen on Monday, said that the youths are also grateful to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for keeping to the promises he made to  Nkanu Youths on several fora that he will hand over to a Nkanu man. 


“We the youths of Enugu East Senatorial Zone are delighted with the outcome of the Enugu People Democratic Party (PDP) Primaries, we are excited that our youth-loving Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi kept to the promise he made to us at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium during our Nkanu Cultural Fiesta, where he promised to hand over to an Nkanu man. By sustaining the zoning system in Enugu State, Governor Ugwuanyi has once again written his name in gold and we the Nkanu Youths and all the Enugu people  are very grateful to him.” 


The youths equally expressed fulfilment that other prominent political parties in the state also heeded the plea of the youths by picking Nkanu men as their party flag bearers.

“I also want to congratulate our good brothers, Chief Uche Nnaji, and Hon. Frank Nweke II for clinching the slots of APC and APGA respectively “

“This is a testament that our advocacy for an Nkanu man for Governor of Enugu State in 2023 yielded excellent fruit. We thank the leadership of the  People's Democratic Party (PDP),  All Progressive Congress (APC),  All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other political parties for the sustenance of zoning pact”


“With the primaries done, Nkanu Youths will immediately swing into action by endorsing the best amongst them and consequently mobilise grassroots support from our teeming members for our adopted candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial election,” NYA said.


The group also expressed appreciation to the Nkanu Elders for the role they played ensuring Nkanu ethnic nationality achieved a successful outing during party primaries.


The youths also thanked the former deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu for putting aside his gubernatorial ambition in support of Nkanu land.
