The Government and people of Enugu State, through the Office of the Liaison Officer, have announced that the state is fully prepared to host the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 5 South Eastern governors, the South East Development Commission (SEDC), legislators and other distinguished guests for the forthcoming programme scheduled to hold in Enugu this week.
The SEDC Liaison Officer, Hon.Edeani M. Edeani, disclosed this on Sunday.
“From the 3rd to the 6th, Enugu will proudly open its doors to leaders, stakeholders, and partners from across the South East. We are fully ready to receive you,” Hon. Edeani stated.
He explained that the programme is taking place in Enugu not only because of its historic role as the capital of the Eastern Region, but also due to the state’s evolution into a model of growth, stability, and opportunity.
“Under the purposeful and visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Enugu State has been repositioned through massive infrastructural development, a strengthened security architecture, and people-focused reforms. These efforts have transformed the state into one of the safest, most serene, and fastest-growing destinations in Nigeria,” he said.
According to Hon. Edeani, Enugu is more prepared than ever, with modern infrastructure, improved facilities, a peaceful environment, and the capacity to successfully host events of this magnitude.
“These achievements continue to attract investors, visitors, and development partners who recognize Enugu as a hub for progress and sustainable development,” he added.
“As we receive the South East Development Commission and our esteemed guests, we assure everyone of a smooth, productive, and memorable engagement.”
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Enugu State, we look forward to welcoming all participants and ensuring a successful and impactful programme,” Hon. Edeani concluded.
The event is part of the South East Vision 2050 Regional Stakeholders’ Forum (SEV2050), a strategic platform that brings together public and private sector leaders, development partners, and key stakeholders to shape a long-term development pathway for the South East region.
