Coalition of Enugu Youth leaders which makes up the Nkanu Youth Assembly, Apex youth wing in Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Nsukka Youth General Assembly, Apex Youth Wing in Enugu North senatorial zone and Agbaja Youth Assembly, a sister group representing Udi and Ezeagu of Enugu West counterpart took 2 days to visit the families of victims of the hijacked Enugu EndSars protest with significant achievements contained in a press release obtianed by Cable Reporters which read:
"NKANU YOUTH ASSEMBLY, NSUKKA YOUTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND AGBAJA YOUTHS VISITS VICTIMS OF ENUGU UNREST"
On Monday and Tuesday 26th/27th October 2020, The Leadership of Nsukka Youth General Assembly, Nkanu Youth Assembly and Agbaja Youths led by the respective Presidents, Roy Ekwueme (president Nsukka Youths General Assembly) Edeani M Edeani, (president Nkanu Youths Assembly) and Nebo Samuel Ebube, (president Agbaja Youths) paid a condolence/ fact finding visit to the families of Prince Ebuka Aneke from Umuonu Amaechi, Obi Chinedu from Ezeagu, Onyima Chinonso from Ezeagu, Ngene Chimezie from Agbani, and Ejike Okeke from Ezeagu who were victims during the unrest in Enugu state to mourn, console and pray with the families.
"The pain of losing a loved one at their ages due to unprofessional conduct of the police is so grievous and better imagined than felt. We prayed for the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable losses and equally for the fast recovery of others.
We also got eye witness report from the families on account of what transpired as some on spread are actually false, we supported and pledged to do all within our reach to ensure that justice is done our served."
"We also held meetings with community boys in various communities and towns to calm frayed nerves and sue for peace, we implored them not to channel the anger of losing their brothers/friends to destroy properties and attack others which could lead to further loss of lives and anarchy, we made them understand that the only way to get justice for their brothers is through the law and government intervention and we assured them that we will communicate their concerns to appropriate authorities and the government of Enugu state under Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will do the needful as always to ensure that justice is done.
They gave their words that they will maintain civility as they seek for justice."
"Through the fast intervention of the State Government, we will return to the family of Ngene Chimezie tomorrow on a mission which needed urgent intervention and has been granted by the state government while the The Panel on Findings and Compensations which was newly inaugurated by state government arbitrates.""May the souls of our brothers departed find internal peace and may God grant their families the grace and strength to bear the loss.
