Post Graduate Students of the Enugu State University of Science And Technology Esut, have been assured of the readiness of the university's management, in making their studies in the university as smooth one devoid of preposterous hardship.
Speaking with the Post Graduate Students in the Faculty of Management Sciences Esut during an interactive seesion with them on Saturday, at Msp session of the University in Enugu, the Dean of the faculty, Prof Chioma Oleka stated that, the mission of the current vice Chancellor, Prof Aloysius Nnabugwu Okolie, is to reposition the university and ensure that, it is placed amongst the best in the country as well as the world in General .
She stated that, the aim of the interactive session is to have an interpersonal interaction with the PG students of the school, know and note their grievances with the school if any and also, inform them of the adroitness of the Vice Chancellor in moving the school forward by harmonising the programme across all the faculties in the school.
She posited the importance of Esut PG students, giving maximum attention to their studies by fulfilling all their classrooms and financial obligations to the University.
According to her "We are here to interact with our Post Graduate students as directed by the university to inform them that, we are committed to making their studies an easy one for those who are passionate about learning"
"Our vice Chancellor, Prof Aloysius Nnabugwu Okolie has a vision of making Esut one of the best and we can only achieve that, by changing our attitudes towards our studies and work"
"We observe that so many human and natural impediments can make the programme difficult for some student, but the university is always ready to assist"
"We want our Post Graduate programme to be an effective and efficient one that, would make prospective students to drag obtaining our forms"
Prof Oleka also berated the appaling commitment of some Post Graduate students across universities in the country towards their academic activities which she said, has pummeled the alarming rate of plagiarism in the academic profession.
She stated that, the University has designed a system that would checkmate plagiarism in all cadres of their learning; starting from Undergraduate to postgraduate studies.
She however, appealed to all and sundries who wants to further their studies to rush now and obtain Esut Post Graduate forms across all levels as Esut of today, is no longer, Esut of yesterday.
"The University frowns at the high rate of academic theft seen amongst students at different schools in the country and want to appeal that, we don't tolerate such in Esut"
"We have designed a system that will checkmate every academic work, be it seminar, proposal, project, thesis, dessertation amongst others"
"The New Esut is interested in impacting 21st century knowledge to our students and give the best to the society at large "
"I call on all, who may wish to further their studies, to come to Esut and get the best that they may desire"
