LikeMinds Takes Grassroots Engagement to Ugwuagor Nike | CABLE REPORTERS

The LikeMinds for PNM Movement has announced plans for another edition of its grassroots engagement initiative, with a street hangout scheduled for Sunday, August 2, at 7 Ugwuagor Road, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu. The event is part of the movement’s ongoing campaign to strengthen community engagement and mobilize support for the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

According to the organizers, the street hangout is designed to bring government closer to the people by creating an informal platform where residents can interact with political leaders, discuss issues affecting their communities, and gain greater insight into the policies and development agenda of the state government. The movement said the initiative reflects its commitment to promoting citizen participation and expanding grassroots involvement in governance.

The event is expected to attract political stakeholders, youth groups, community leaders, and supporters from across the state. Leading the engagement will be Hon. Enyinna Franklin Ogbonna (Oko Ugbabe), Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources and Leader of the LikeMinds for PNM Movement in Enugu North Zone; Engr. Ben-Collins Ndu Jr. (Owudo II), Commissioner for Water Resources and Leader for Enugu West Zone; Hon. Edeani M. Edeani (Ofunwa Na Nkanu), Liaison Officer of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) and Leader for Enugu East Zone; and Nwogbo Emeka Nelson, Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization and Youth Leader.

Organizers said the gathering will also serve as an opportunity to highlight the achievements of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, water resources, energy, and economic development. They noted that the movement remains focused on fostering dialogue between government officials and residents while encouraging wider public participation in the state’s development efforts.

The LikeMinds for PNM Movement has continued to expand its activities across Enugu’s three senatorial zones through community engagements and mobilization campaigns aimed at strengthening support for the administration’s vision. Sunday’s street hangout is expected to draw residents from Abakpa-Nike and neighboring communities for what organizers describe as an interactive event centered on unity, civic participation, and sustainable development.
